Ghana held to goalless draw by Mexico in pre-World Cup friendly || Macqathylive Sports

Ghana played out a goalless draw against Mexico in a friendly match on Thursday, as both teams gear up for the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

The match, held at the Centro Deportivo Choquenza in Bogota, provided valuable preparation just days before the tournament kicks off on Saturday, August 31.

Ghana and Mexico are both in Bogota ahead of their respective group stage matches. For the Black Princesses, this friendly comes 10 days before their opening Group E encounter against Austria.

Having qualified for the World Cup for the seventh consecutive time, the Black Princesses are determined to advance beyond the group stage for the first time in the tournament’s history.

Mexico, on the other hand, are set to compete in a challenging group that includes hosts Colombia, Cameroon, and Australia.

Both teams will be looking to fine-tune their strategies in the final days leading up to the global competition.
