Ghana deputy captain, Thomas Partey, has attributed his impressive performance on the field to the influence of his parents' coaching.
During an interview with Supersports, the Arsennal midfieler acknowledged that his parents' continuous feedback, both positive and negative, has aided in his development as a player.
Partey expressed that his parents play a crucial role in his career, stating, "Both my parents are my coaches."
He further added, "There are instances during a game when I feel I can just chip the ball, but she [his mother] would be like, 'Why don't I just attempt shooting often'."
Partey further explained that he sometimes chooses to pass the ball instead of taking a shot in certain situations to create more space on the field.
Nevertheless, he has taken his parents' criticism and advice seriously, enabling him to become a more well-rounded player.
He has been influential for Arsenal this season in their title quest; scoring three goals in 22 Premier League games.
