General Marcus Shares Old Photo On A Journey To Jamaica To Record “AKOS”

Veteran Ghanaian reggae icon General Marcus who rose to fame in the early 90’s has shared some  wonderful memories on a journey he took to record one of his major hit songs Akos in Jamaica.

Yesterday, Macqathylive observed a post on his Facebook timeline claiming same. The post was captured, Heathrow Airport 1995, on my way to record the hit single Akos.

Akos a reggae single which became a mega hit song in Ghana in 1996 and the world at large was recorded in Jamaica according to the musician.

General Marcus released his debut album “Shidaa”, meaning thanks in 1996 which had songs like Me Di Wakyi Daa, Shidaa, Akos, just to mention a few.

He revealed in the post saying, Heathrow Airport 1995.. On my way to Jamaica 🇯🇲 to record the hit single "AKOS."..Being send off by Papa Whaseh......Seen!
